Thank you so much for taking the time to consider a contribution to The Roseville High School Tiger Band. We are looking to our local residents and businesses for support on the many activities the band participates in all year long. By supporting the RHSB you will be showing your business as an entity that wants to make an even better community.

Music education should not be an extracurricular activity but should be taught to all students. WHY? Gallup polls and over a decade of statistical data detail the immeasurable benefits and results of a student’s involvement with music education. The latest research supports that the high-quality music education that Roseville offers, helps our young people develop their intellectual capacity, promotes growth of neural connections, increases IQ scores and develops better memory. They score higher on SAT’s, have better social skills, increased reasoning skills, and are more committed to stay in school.

The RHSB is honored to be part of the City of Roseville’s Veterans Day, and Memorial Day Ceremonies. These kids have a sense of patriotism and selfless perseverance, most are honor roll students, and after graduating go on to some of the best Colleges and Universities in our Nation. During the summer they go to Band Camp for a week of intensive training, practicing every day from 8:00am to 9:00pm, sometimes later. During band season they will rehearse after school 1 or 2 nights a week till 9:00pm and some weekends! On competition days they are at the school by 6:00am and don’t get back many nights till after midnight. The marching band in particular works as hard as most athletic activities, with more educational benefit and fewer complaints.

You can show your support by donating or even helping out with the following items and services, though the most effective gift is a cash donation of any amount.

Marching Band/Color Guard Show

Each year we build props for the show, we need lumber, hardware, PVC, paint, tape, fabric, and glue - you name it, we’ll need it.

Uniforms & Costumes

Every year the band uniforms have to be tailored and dry cleaned. We also have to hand- make costumes every year for the color guard.

Food & Drinks

During Marching Band season the band travels as far south as Atwater and as far East as Reno, Nevada to competitions. The Band Boosters have to feed the 50+ band members sometimes both lunch and dinner.

Travel/Transport Expenses

When traveling to these competitions we have to rent a bobtail truck with a lift gate. We have a full truckload! We also have to cover the fuel as well.

***In the past the band has been given the opportunity to staff crab feeds in return for tips and play at company events for a nominal fee or in trade for products or services. Please contact us at president@rhsmusicboosters.com if you are interested.
